We have compiled these faqs to answer your questions

Do you deliver?

Due to the daily demands in our bakery, we are unable to offer delivery of your cupcake bouquet. We will be sure to let you know if we have an opportunity to revisit a delivery option in the future.

Do you require a deposit?

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to take preorder or hold your date.

Can your cupcakes be shipped?

Due to the delicate nature of their decoration, our cupcakes cannot be shipped without damage (although we are working on a solution to this).

How long in advance do I need to order?

The Guerdon provides you with the highest quality product for your celebration or event, we are limited to the number of orders we can take each week. We typically book several weeks in advance for our custom bouquets/boxes, however you can see our availability calendar when you click on a product category in our online shop.

 

As we are slowly expanding our work family, and excited about the upcoming opening of our south side storefront location, we often have immediate availability of select bouquets/boxes that are posted on our Instagram and Facebook pages for pickup. Once our storefront opens we will have walk-in availability of our standard size cupcakes in boxes of 6 or 12 cupcakes.

Are you open for walk-in orders?

Custom bouquet and boxed bloom orders are placed through our online shop.

 

We offer walk in pickups of your choice of our 6 delicious flavors in our standard cupcake size, individually or in a box of 6 or 12 cupcakes. We also offer 3 cupcake bouquets while quantities last. 

 

All walk in product is limited in quantity and is first-come-first-sold.

What if I need to cancel/change an order?

As some custom materials may need to be ordered specifically for you, and as we adhere to a strict planning and preparation schedule in order to provide you with the highest quality celebration piece, orders are considered final once placed. Any requests for modifications made after that are at the sole discretion of The Guerdon and may not be able to be accommodated.

How do I order for a special occasion?

At The Guerdon, we strive to provide cupcakes to as many of you as possible during these special calendar occasions. We offer a set design selection that will be available for the week leading up to the occasion. No custom orders are available during this period. Our schedule for the period will open up once designs are added to our shop for purchase (and we will be sure to keep you updated on social media as well as these dates typically book months in advance).

 

We are now also able to provide limited walk in purchases in the same holiday/occasion designs until quantities last.

What if I just can’t make up my mind?

Let us do what we do best! Simply select “our choice” from the dropdown menu in each of our product categories to let us take over the design process to create a showstopping addition to your event.

How do I store my cupcakes? Can they be frozen?

As our cupcakes are made with premium quality, fresh ingredients, we believe that they are best consumed within two days of pickup. If you find yourself with any leftovers after that time, they do freeze beautifully. Keep them on a cool countertop in the box that they were presented in.

 

*Should you need to reserve a pickup date prior to your event (either due to your schedule or our availability), you may keep them frozen until the evening prior to consumption, then place on your counter. **Do not store cupcakes in your refrigerator as this may dry them out. 

 

As our buttercream is made using real butter, please avoid exposing your cupcakes to direct sunlight, as it may melt the icing.

Are your cupcakes peanut free?

None of our cupcakes or buttercream are made with nut ingredients; however, some of the decorative dragees/sprinkles that we may use are packaged in facilities that process nuts and may contain trace amounts of nuts or nut products. Although we do take precautions to avoid cross-contamination, we do not recommend consuming them if you have a severe nut allergy.

Do you offer gluten free/dairy free/vegan cupcakes?

We are currently unable to offer any cupcakes catering to dietary restrictions.

Do you take orders for weddings?

We do provide cupcakes for weddings. In fact, they make unique and delicious table centerpieces. Delivery and setup is not available, however if delivery is required, we can discuss on a case-by-case basis. We do recommend a phone consultation to properly assess your vision and to determine your cupcake needs.

Do you offer classes?

Yes, we offer in-person group classes, as well as one-on-one classes for those wanting more intense private classes to expand their floral piping skills. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook for updates on new class release dates as they book quickly.

 

We are also hoping to add online tutorials for those wanting to learn from afar, or on their own convenient schedule.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment can be made by e-banking, in person walk-in purchases may also be made using cash.
